Admission Process and Requirements

Applicants for ND full-time programmes must apply through JAMB CAPS. A minimum score of 100 points in the 2025/2026 JAMB UTME is required. Candidates who selected another polytechnic but wish to transfer to Dorben Polytechnic can request a change of institution through the JAMB Portal.

Once admitted, candidates must accept the offer on JAMB CAPS, print the admission letter, and present it at the Dorben Polytechnic Admission Office along Garam-Bwari Road for verification.

HND candidates below 30 years of age admitted on a full-time basis will be eligible for NYSC mobilisation after graduation.

General Admission Requirements

For National Diploma (ND):

Five O’Level credits including English Language and Mathematics
Minimum of 100 JAMB UTME points (ND full-time only)

For Higher National Diploma (HND):

National Diploma in a related field with at least a Lower Credit from a recognised polytechnic
Five O’Level credits including English and Mathematics
One-year industrial training experience

Special Considerations

The management has approved a 20% tuition scholarship for:

Military and paramilitary personnel recommended by their offices
Female students enrolled in Science and Engineering programmes

Application Process for UNN Shopping/Change of Course

Eligible candidates should follow the steps below to complete their application.

Visit the UNN Portal.
Log in with your JAMB Registration Number to generate and download a payment invoice containing a Remita number.
Pay the ₦10,000 Advert/Shopping processing fee at any commercial bank. Ensure the Invoice Number is entered correctly at the bank.
Obtain a confirmation slip containing your Confirmation Number and Invoice Number.
Return to the portal to complete the Shopping/Change of Course form using your JAMB and invoice numbers.

Application opens on Monday, 20th October 2025 and closes on Friday, 24th October 2025.

Candidates must meet the university’s minimum and departmental entry requirements for their selected courses and must have taken the correct UTME subjects during the 2024/2025 JAMB and Post-UTME.

Candidates admitted through this process will not be permitted to register for any other course during the 2025/2026 academic year.

To be eligible for admission, applicants must:

Admission Requirements

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

Applicants must hold a first degree from Caleb University or any recognised university. Candidates with equivalent qualifications may also be considered.

Master’s Degree (M.Sc. and MBA)

A first degree from Caleb University or any recognised university with a minimum of Second-Class Lower (2:2) is required.
Candidates with a relevant Postgraduate Diploma or a professional qualification in addition to a first degree or HND may also apply.

M.Phil/Ph.D. and Ph.D. Programmes

Candidates with a good master’s degree with a CGPA of 3.50 on a 5-point scale (or equivalent) may apply for M.Phil/Ph.D.
Those with a minimum CGPA of 4.0 on a 5-point scale may apply for Ph.D.

UNIUYO Supplementary Admission Form 2025/2026 On Sale

The Supplementary Admission process for the 2025/2026 academic session has been announced by the University of Uyo (UNIUYO). UNIUYO Supplementary Admission Change of Course Schedule

The JAMB portal for online change of course registration will open for the UNIUYO supplementary process from Monday, 20th October 2025 to Sunday, 26th October 2025.

Interested applicants are advised to make use of this window to complete their registration before the deadline. Any candidate who fails to apply within this period will not be considered for admission in the current academic session.

Steps for UNIUYO Supplementary Admission Registration

To successfully register for the UNIUYO Supplementary Admission, candidates should:

Visit the JAMB Portal for change of course and select one of the available programmes listed in the official advert.
Ensure that their O’Level (WAEC or NECO) results are correctly uploaded to the JAMB CAPS Portal through a JAMB-accredited CBT centre.
Accept their admission within one week of approval on the JAMB CAPS platform.

Failure to accept an offered admission within the timeframe will lead to automatic deletion of the admission record and placement in the “refusal to accept” category, which makes the candidate ineligible for future admission consideration.
